Landing Page Idea of the Week (link)
A great landing page draws the attention of visitors with clear high quality images. Kineon’s images make it clear what product they sell which builds trust with new visitors. The H1 “Every Body Moving“ and subtitle “Put red light therapy to work on your inflammation, muscle and joint pain“ clarify the purpose of the device. The star reviews provide social proof which adds credibility to the product. These elements all work together to build trust and provide enough information for a visitor to begin the user journey by clicking the clear CTA. The other sections in the landing page provide more social proof, more information and use targeted copy to highlight the pain points of Kineon’s ideal customer. Each section allows the page to fulfil its purpose and leads to increased conversions by hitting over delivering on these criteria:
Social proof to build trust and credibility;
Information to make sure that customers know what they are buying and the benefits of it;
Visual appeal to capture visitor’s attention with high quality images.

You already know something about social proof, the different kinds of social proof and its benefits.
I’m going to explain social proof from the most basic components so that you can understand why it is not just important but vital to your brand.
So, what is social proof?
It is the influence that other’s actions have on a person’s behaviour. For example, the impact of social proof would be a person buying the latest off-white sneakers because they saw that their friends had bought them and loved them.
What does this have to do with your business?
Social proof adds credibility to your product. The more that people buy, use and like your product, the better the credibility of both your product and brand.
More credible products build more loyal customers and reduce the anxiety of new customers when they come to buy your product.
The most common example of social proof is User Generated Content (UGC) like testimonials, reviews, interviews with experts, and endorsements. UGC builds trust as visitors are able to resonate more clearly with the experiences of other customers. UGC allows customers to share the impact of your product in their situation and adds credibility to the purpose of your product. It confirms that your product does what you say it’s going to do.
Strong social proof builds even stronger credibility and gives you an edge over your competitors. It means that visitors to your website are more likely to become customers. Lastly, it builds a loyal customer base and a string brand presence which will set your business up for long term success.
